Need Medical Help?

There are several medical sites where you can find the answers to common problems. You will not learn how to perform an appendectomy on yourself, but you can find out how to treat a bee sting and how different medicines will affect you and how some medicines interact with others. You can also learn if there is a generic version of your prescription.

Web MD (www.webmd.com) is one of the best.
Others:
http://medlineplus.gov/
http://familydoctor.org/online/famdocen/home.html
(That one talks to you)
Don't forget the obvious ones: www.google.com and www.ask.com
These sites do not replace the family doctor but may answer some questions and help you find home remedies.

Charles F. Mize President's Notes

Wow! We had a great meeting in March. Not only did we have an
informative program led by Tommy Campbell and associates from Microsoft, but we filled the meeting room I had to send out for more chairs three times. Let's fill it up again in April.
I found some old Data Bytes. My first issue as editor was the August 1997 edition. We had eight members and three visitors at that meeting. Few members had Internet, and that was dial-up.
